Blair is the kind of person who leaves a lasting impression. An accomplished anaesthetist with a career spanning the ICU, the Australian Defence Force, and emergency medicine with CareFlight — Blair has literally jumped out of helicopters to save lives. His medical knowledge is extraordinary, but it’s his calm confidence, razor-sharp wit, and deep care for people that truly define him.

These days, Blair continues to work in the perioperative clinic, mentoring medical students and contributing to hospital life with the same passion and insight as ever. He also supports staff training here at BriighterCare, teaching our team about the autonomic nervous system, medications, and clinical decision-making — always delivered with clarity, humour, and a wealth of lived experience.

At BriighterCare, it’s our privilege to support Blair each day. We assist with personal care, transfers, SPC and stoma management, and transport to work, hydrotherapy, and medical appointments. But Blair leads the way — directing his care and setting the tone, as he always has.

Blair is a devoted husband to Bronwyn and a proud dad to Hugh, Aiden, and Peter — roles that matter most to him.

“Emma and her team at Briighter Care truly exemplify excellence in care. Their professionalism and unwavering support are complemented by a genuine respect and kindness that radiates in every interaction.”

Fearless. Funny. Full of Heart.

Meet Indy – a vibrant young lady with a smile that lights up every room and a personality as bold as her favourite ninja course! Indy is a proud sister, a talented soccer player, and the devoted human to her beloved seizure alert dog, Eevie.

Indy lives with Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome and an acquired brain injury following two major brain surgeries that changed her life – but not her spirit. One of the lasting impacts of her surgeries is a visual impairment that affects a significant amount of her vision daily, but it hasn’t slowed her down. Since her last surgery, Indy has had improvement, and she hasn’t looked back. While her brain still has misfire’s

, Indy simply keeps running (literally!) toward the next big thing.

She’s got a deep love for soccer, trampoline time, and any activity that gets her heart racing. She’s brave to the bone – tackling ninja courses, climbing frames, and friendships with equal courage. Her support team helps her stay active, build independence, and work on goals like learning to read, strengthening her fine motor skills, and growing her confidence with the goal of appropriate inclusion for her.

Indy communicates beautifully in her own way and can light up any room with her infectious smile! She knows what she wants, knows how to get it, and has a strong sense of self that shines through everything she does. Like many children with autism and sensory needs, she’s drawn to comfort foods (chicken nuggets and KFC are top-tier), and we’re always gently guiding her toward balanced choices to support her health and energy.

Above all, Indy is an incredible teacher to those around her. She reminds us daily what it means to live boldly, love freely, and face life with laughter and courage.

At Briighter Care, we feel lucky to walk beside her.

“Briighter Care are not like any other provider;
they genuinely care. Emma’s dedication not only supporting her clients but ensuring she is doing her best to support the family is admirable.”
